A spaceship mysteriously falls from the sky and sinks to the bottom of the ocean. While trying to reach it, in your submarine you travel to sunken settlements, flooded forests and dark abysses. You meet various sea creatures on your way. Some are friendly. Some attack you out of the dark. But if you are observant, you can make the latter disappear with a simple touch of your finger. Or you just disappear yourself, by using the game’s signature feature, the chameleon-like perspective camouflage.
Lowboat is not about thinking. It is about feeling. For this purpose the controls have been designed to be as immediate as possible. For instance you do not control any weapons. Your fingers themselves are the weapons. Likewise you do not control the perspective camouflage with any button, instead you just have to find the right point of view to activate it.
In every area of the sea there are a few marked locations recommending you where to go. Supplies are scattered everywhere – they too can be picked up with a simple touch. Once you have collected enough of them, you can downgrade your submarine to the next lower level, which allows it to dive to deeper areas.
